RICCARDO PES

Giovanni Sollima
"For three years the young cellist Riccardo Pes studied in my class at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Riccardo is an interesting musician, a very creative cellist and composer, his way of playing is a perfect combination of knowledge, techniques skill, natural lyricism, flowing sound and refined musical instinct ".

Franz Bartolomey
"For some years I have been teaching the young cellist Riccardo Pes. He also participated in some masterclasses held by me (Wiener Meisterkurse for example) and I highly recommend him.

Mr. Pes is to all intents and purposes an excellent cellist who distinguished himself for his exceptional technique and above all for the demonstrations of his strong musicality. As for his interpretation of the works I must mention in particular his frankness, the very capable receptivity , attention to stylistic details and refined technique.

It is a real joy to work with him because he has the ability to do what you suggested very quickly. He has solo skills but also a talent for chamber music. I would also like to mention his curiosity for every single aspect of making music and for contemporary music. "

Gustavo Tavares
"I would highly recommend the young Italian musician Riccardo Pes. Riccardo is a very deserving student, whom I met for the first time at the" Suoni delle Dolomiti "Festival in 2010, during the premiere of one of my pieces for cello ensemble Il

Mr. Pes played an active and important role among the artists on that occasion and even then he showed himself not only as a very talented cellist but also as an intelligent musician.

I later taught Mr. Pes during masterclasses at the Zagreb Academy of Music, when he performed JSBach's Suite VI with great musicality, and once again reaffirmed the qualities of a young performer who certainly deserves all the help and support."

ENSEMBLE OF ANCIENT MUSIC "OTTAVIANO PETRUCCI

The Ensemble of ancient music "Ottaviano Petrucci" was founded in 2008 by professors Stefania Defazio and Fabio Reggio, who wanted to dedicate the name of this group to the first European music printer and publisher, Ottaviano Petrucci who operated, at the request of the doge Agostino Barbarigo, in the city of Venice at the time of the Republic of the Serenissima.

The repertoire of the Ensemble, whose staff varies according to the needs of the score, focuses on instrumental and vocal music from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, giving ample space to the Consort of recorders (faithful copies of the flutes of the Renaissance period), supported by singers , percussion, violone, lute and theorbo.

The program includes both sacred and profane repertoire.

Over time the ensemble "Ottaviano Petrucci" has had the opportunity to perform several times in prestigious venues in Venice: Scuola Grande S. Giovanni Evangelista, Scuola Grande di S. Rocco, church of S. Rocco, Palazzo Mocenigo (seat of the Costume Museum and of the fabric), cultural center Mondadori ex cinema San Marco, Anglican church, church of S. Bartolomeo, church of Ognissanti (at the former hospital GB Giustinian), church cultural center of the province of Venice on the island of S. Servolo, Conservatory “Benedetto Marcello "In Venice, Palazzo Corner-Mocenigo (Veneto regional headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza), Palazzo Bollani on the occasion of the 2013 Biennale Arte. He also performed at the Cultural Center of Azzano Decimo in Pordenone on the occasion of the presentation of the prototype of the accordion of Leonardo da Vinci.

The concerts were organized by: AVIS Venice, Haiti population pro-earthquake committee, IRE Venice and AIDO, Guardia di Finanza, Friends of the Venice Conservatory, Venice School of Ancient Music, Province of Venice and the "Coro Antonio Lotti" association , Venice Biennale, Knights of St. Mark.

In some concerts M ° Giovanni Toffano (teacher of Recorder of the Conservatory "Benedetto Marcello" of Venice) and M ° Marco Rosa Salva (director of the School of Ancient Music of Venice) participated in extraordinary way as conductors.

In some concerts the ensemble "Ottaviano Petrucci" performed with the choir "Una voce" from Martellago directed by M ° Monica Barbiero, the vocal ensemble "Antonio Lotti" from Venice directed by M ° Paolo Cammozzo, the group "Gli Araldi di Venezia ”, Renaissance trumpet ensemble directed by Maestro Fabrizio Nasetti (trumpet teacher at the“ Benedetto Marcello ”Conservatory in Venice) and some soloists from the Venice School of Ancient Music.

Among all these initiatives, some concerts were of a charitable nature as well as the last Christmas concerts in 2013, at the “S. Lorenzo ”of Venice.

The concert on December 14th at this cultural center and the performance at two high schools in Portogruaro concluded the 2013 musical season.

Also in the school environment, the group is spreading ancient music in 2014 through a series of concert lessons at institutions of all types and levels of education in the province of Venice, in addition to the artistic collaboration with the Waldensian cultural center of Venice.

In 2018, Petrucci performed at the Christmas concerts organized by the municipal AVIS of Venice, with the patronage of the Municipality and the Municipality of Venice and ULSS 3 Serenissima, at the Sala degli Angeli of the Scuola di San Marco in Venice and palazzo From Mula di Murano.

In the years 2018 and 2019 the ensemble performed in the column room of the Madonna dell'Orto church in Venice and in Cà 'Rezzonico, collaborating with the Lotti Choir on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth.

On 11 April 2019 the Petrucci ensemble performed at the Olympic Academy of Vicenza with the Novecento vocal group on the occasion dedicated to Giulio Cattin.

On the occasion of the 2020 Carnival, the ancient music group accompanied the stage music with the solo soprano Simonetta Baldin of the unpublished comedy "The escape from the lead" by the writer Antonella Barina and directed by Roberto Milani at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi in Venice, headquarters of the Swiss Consulate.
